Yoga has been part of my life since my early teens thanks to my dad who introduced me to Hatha yoga. Since then, I practised when time allowed or I needed something to help calm my mind. I came back to yoga when I started running to help my muscles stretch and recover. It was only in my late 20s did I begin to feel the other benefits of yoga - slowing down the mind and my pace of life. Changes in my personal circumstances also refocused my mind to making time for my wellbeing, which yoga became an instrumental part of.

In January 2018, I embarked on my journey into teacher training and completed my 200 hour teacher training in Rishikesh in Vinyasa flow and Ashtanga. I was fortunate enough to spend the next five months travelling across Southeast Asia, attending yoga classes and teaching individuals or small classes in Nepal, Thailand and Indonesia. A particular highlight was teaching yoga to 40 trekkers in Ethiopia when trekking the Simien Mountains.

Born and bred in West London, I work as a corporate fundraiser for an international development INGO. Having been in the sector for over eight years, yoga has helped bring me back into the present and I hope to do the same for others.

Let’s close the circle between mind, body and soul together.
